Architectural Design & Refurbishment.
Making alterations or extending historic buildings requires sensitive design and the application of appropriate conservation knowledge. We can offer a full design service including writing specifications of work along with accompanying drawings. We have experience of undertaking alterations to many different types of historic buildings from Grade I Listed Mansions to small cottages and non-listed properties located in conservation areas.
Our approach and the key to success is to consider using materials appropriate both in terms of visual impact, but also materials which will compliment and will be technically compatible with the building or structure we are instructed to work upon.
Our philosophy is also in line with historic organisations such as The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) of which we fully endorse and support.
We can also produce detailed drawings and specifications for minor repairs and maintenance works.

Building Surveys.
Purchasing an older property or if you already own an historic building can be a daunting time for the inexperienced. We can provide detailed pre-purchase building surveys or undertake specific defects surveys where we provide a detailed analysis of a particular problem, also referred to as building pathology.
Defects Diagnosis.
All our reports are bespoke, detailed surveys which are aided by using some of the most current technology available, for example thermal imaging cameras, high level pole cameras for roof inspections and various instruments to help with the diagnosis of damp related problems.
